Sensitive words are intended to ensure that companies are not using a name that does not reflect the location, size or nature of the business conducted by the company. There are approximately 50 words that Companies House regard as sensitive. What Companies House say about using the word UNITED KINGDOM
if you wish to use these expressions as a prefix, or to use 'of Great Britain' or 'of the United Kingdom' as a suffix, then the criteria are the same as for 'British'. If the words are used as a suffix to the name, they are normally allowed without difficulty. Using the initials 'GB' or 'UK' in your company name does not require approval.
What do we need to process your application?

2. To use this word as a prefix you must show that the company is British owned and will be the largest of it's type in the UK. In order to do this you will be required to provide supporting evidence from a government source.
